Are back issues of Leatherneck and Marine Corps Gazette available online?
Answer
Both magazines have been digitized and can be found in library databases Proquest Central and Proquest Military Database. Leatherneck coverage goes back to 1921 and Marine Corps Gazette coverage begins in 1916.
Marine Corps University Library has access to both of these databases for all on-site users and remote access for faculty, staff, and resident students.
Issues from 2012 on are available on the Marine Corps Assn. website for free: Magazines - Marine Corps Association
Premium subscribers to Leatherneck or Marine Corps Gazette also have access to the Proquest archives.
