Why can't I access databases anymore?

Answer

Common reasons for loss of databases access:

  • User doesn't have a library account
  • User's library account has expired and/or was removed from system
  • Account is blocked due to overdue or lost items
  • User patron type has changed
    • Not all patron types are eligible for offsite database access due to user seat limits
  • User patron type not eligible for database access
    • Not all account types are eligible for offsite database access due to user seat limits
  • User typed in wrong login information
    • Access to MCU Research Library databases uses specific logins that are not used by any other USMC/DOD organization
    • Logins are not tied to, and are not the same as, DEERS, CAC, DOD-MWR Online Library.
  • Simple mistake
