I need to access a CAC enabled website. Can I do this at the library?

I need to access a site that requires me to authenticate with CAC card. Do the library computers allow me to do this?

Answer

Per the GRC/Library User Policy Letter, our public access computers are available for use to all CAC holders and civilians with DoD-issued identification. A driver's license is NOT an acceptable form of identification.

For CAC holders, we ask that you first attempt to log-in to one of the computers on the first floor. Let us know if you are unable to log-in, and we will issue you a username/password. Once logged in, you should be able to access any site requiring CAC authentication.  Please note: some .mil sites block us due to our .EDU status.

For users with DoD ID: please show your identification at the circulation desk. You will be asked to input your name, address, and telephone number into our database prior to being issued a username and password.

Contact the Circulation Desk at (703) 784-4409 for more details.
