How do I link to Library online resources?

Answer

Follow these basic tips when providing direct links to library resources:

  • At the database or publisher website, look for the words Permalink, Share, Get Link, or other similar icons and tools within the resource
  • Avoid copying URLs from the address bar, especially if they include 'sessid' or long, random alphanumeric strings.
  • Always test your link before sharing or posting it!

IMPORTANT NOTE ON LINKS AND OPENATHENS

  • Permanent links provided by EBSCOhost and ProQuest databases are already structured to work with OpenAthens
  • If you copied the URL after OpenAthens launch is complete, there's no need to change them
