How do I link to Library online resources?
Answer
Follow these basic tips when providing direct links to library resources:
- At the database or publisher website, look for the words Permalink, Share, Get Link, or other similar icons and tools within the resource
- Avoid copying URLs from the address bar, especially if they include 'sessid' or long, random alphanumeric strings.
- Always test your link before sharing or posting it!
IMPORTANT NOTE ON LINKS AND OPENATHENS
- Permanent links provided by EBSCOhost and ProQuest databases are already structured to work with OpenAthens
- If you copied the URL after OpenAthens launch is complete, there's no need to change them
